Day 2 – Quote 2:

Sunday is my personal day for focused spiritual renewal. Here’s my favorite Bible Quote:

John 3:17 (KJV)- “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”

I came across this verse many years ago when I needed solace. I was at a place of condemnation in my life. I condemned myself and others were just as glad to condemn along with me. Up until I really read this verse, my favorite bible verse “quote” was the famous John 3:16…”For God so loved the world…”

I was seeking the elusive solace when I turned to my then favorite verse in the Bible. I decided I wanted to understand the context of John 3:16 and needed to read the entire chapter. Then maybe figure out why the verse was important to me. Yes, I was doubting all my beliefs at the time. I got as far as verse 17. I realized God does not condemn the world. I am a part of the world he created, therefore, I am not condemned. I am saved.
