Well…Happy Weekend!

HappyWeekend
A Florida Weekend Morning

Another week has gotten away from me. The chronic pain has ramped up along with the increasing stress levels. I have called a Family Meeting for tomorrow. Work, medical appointments, business appointments, Dad, errands swirl around me like a perfect storm. I actually started two blogs since Tuesday. I just couldn’t finalize them.

Today I feel like I broke through the wall of the storm into the eye. My pain lessened as I drove for home. My shoulders straightened. The muscles in my back began to ease. The ache and pressure in my head settled to a dull ache. The weekend has arrived. I get to work and write at home.

I love Friday evening. It is a time full of hope and promise of the gifts God has planned for me. Some of my weekends are restful. Some are rapid fire busy. Some are filled with energy and some are full of fatigue and pain. Most are somewhere in between. This one promises to be in between. I’m looking forward to a mixture of accomplishment and rest. My favorite kinda weekend, I want to experience it all!

Weekends don’t always work out the way I plan but, most weekends do. Isn’t that why we look forward to them starting on…well in my case Monday morning? {Wink}

My weekend started Friday afternoon. This weekend many will have planned a four-day extravaganza. I do get the 4th of July off. I’m one of those taking the weekend then working Monday to take Tuesday off this year. On Mondays I step back into the storm. Storms are unpredictable. I hope this one will let me stay in the eye for a couple of days.

If you have a long weekend, enjoy it to the max! If you are working this weekend and holiday, thank you for being there. I appreciate your service. If you’re like me off and on again, welcome to my club, I’m enjoying it!

Happy Birthday to the U.S. of A!

Tears

Tears
This how my Post started: Old School!

Tears of sorrow are what I think of first. But there are many other kinds of tears. Tears can be happiness, sadness, joy, frustration, relief, despair, gratitude, panic, peace, confusion, jealousy…I have felt all of these tears over the last year. I cried on Monday. These tears were none of those listed. I can say I never felt anything like these tears. So what are the tears I shed on Monday? Continue reading “Tears”

Imperfect Father’s Day

ImperfectFathersDayFathers have been on my mind a lot for the last couple of months. I am struggling with God as MY Father. My dad does not allow me the luxury of growing up. In his mind I am still a malleable 12-year old (not that this stubborn Milly was all that ‘malleable’ to begin with – too much like dad I would say). My dad is as imperfect as I am… Continue reading “Imperfect Father’s Day”
