If you read my posts, I’m sure you know that I like a good turn of phrase, a fabulous slogan, or sweet little sayings. I love finding an encouraging nugget.

I started my day with a new to me book “Mocha with Max” by Max Lucado. On page 23 Max shared;
“God views your life the way you view a movie after you’ve read the book…”
“He’s not only read your story…he wrote it. His perspective is different, and his purpose is clear.”
Then Max includes one of my favorite promises from Jeremiah:
“I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” [Jeremiah 29:11 NIV]
No, I haven’t gotten to chapter 29 in the book of Jeremiah but I found this verse a couple of years ago. At the time it struck me as a promise. It felt good to read it again and be reminded that God desires for us to prosper.
Being a writer at heart, I clued into the words Max Lucado wrote about God: “He’s not only read your story…He wrote it.”
God wrote my story. He wrote about me becoming a writer how cool is that! “Right on!” screams my inner hippie child! Or is that…”Write On! Nah not quite right,” I thought as I doodled. I wrote out “Write Now!” As in write with a ‘W,’ Hmmm… that looks interesting.
I began to think about what I need to get back on track with my writing. Busy busy Milly is too busy to write these days. Running from task to task being a worker bee, dutiful daughter, and concerned mom has me just barely posting on my blog. All my other writing has ceased as I take care of stuff. Its important stuff but, it’s not the stuff moving me closer to my dream goals.
My adventure journey right now feels like I‘m in a row-boat stuck in the mud. I paddle deep and hard to pull forward, One. Inch. At. A. Time. I’m exhausted at the end of the day. I also see I’m only leaving big ruts of mud in my wake.
I miss writing. Posting to the blog these past several weeks has been my ray of hope. This week I was looking for something to hold onto. I was thinking, maybe I need a little saying or words of encouragement to remind me of my focus. Doodling and Jeremiah 29:11 got me thinking this morning. Here is a glimpse inside the mind of Milly:
““I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord…” I’m sure his plans include me writing now. I tell myself; “Get to it Milly write now!”
“…Plans to prosper you…” My plan is to prosper at writing. To do that I need to finish the books I started. Publishing an unfinished book would be a huge waste of time. That said I need to write now and write often!
“… and not to harm you,” I find when I write I relax. A type ‘A’ personality needs to grasp all opportunities to relax. I would say write now, writing does not harm me.
“…plans to give you hope and a future.” If I write now I have hope. If I write now I see a future.
Ohh! I’m having fun with words now! Write Now! I found my words of encouragement! At least for the moment 😉
Find what makes you happy and relaxed in the moment. I will be writing on…
Milly
So, Write on!! Are you waiting for a bus to come by? We’re waiting to hear the next episode.
