The Ride of My Life

Woosh! Whoa! Slow down. Then we creep along the track straight up in the air. Prepare… Creep… Prepare… creep… tension builds. The last day, we teeter at the top of the track with nothing but clear blue skies in every direction. Ah, Beautiful. It feels like we are floating on air. We can’t see the tracks. Only “blue skies ahead.”

Unintended Consequences

Most of my career I worked in the public sector. In my field unintended consequences are a big concern. Anytime decisions, policies, and/or actions are taken, we consider the possible outcomes and what might be the unintended consequences. This process includes determining as many “what ifs” as possible. Good intentions can have hurtful results.

Commentary

The Busy Bee & Mango Blossoms

The word ‘commentary’ has lost some of its meaning. The American Heritage Dictionary1, defines Commentary as: “An ongoing series of spoken remarks, especially during a television or radio broadcast of an event.” This seems to be the only type of commentary used in America at the current time. Instead, I want to look at this study tool.
