God is my Copilot?

There was a bumper sticker back in the 70s and 80s declaring “God is my Co-pilot!” Maybe there are a few antique cars that still have it out there. Maybe you’ve seen it yourself under years of road dust. I liked seeing others with faith enough to declare it. The phrase made me feel connected. Recently, two novels I’ve been reading have changed my perspective on this slogan.

Dance

I’m not very good with music. Technically, I am good with an instrument, but only when precision is required. I do not have an ear for music, nor the voice and not the feet. While I can sway or bop to the rhythm, my feet are clumsy when I dance. I’ve been out of step with the Macarena and taken out a row in the Electric Slide.

A Merry Christmas from Florida

Yes, the mountain girl went to the beach yesterday, Christmas Eve, and that is Florida ‘snow’ that you see on the water. A cold front moved through SoFlo* this morning. The high yesterday was eighty degrees with winds, cloudy skies and a chance of ‘snow.’ As I write this, the temperature outside is fifty-five degrees. We expect the low tonight to be forty-two degrees. I’d better cover the plants! BRR! {Guffaw!} This is as close to a White Christmas as we get. Can you see the whitecaps on the Atlantic?
