Suffering Christmas

This week I found encouragement in, of all places, a cross-reference. Part of an adventure journey is shutting off the noise and actively seeking. We may seek answers, reasons, or someone special. An adventure journey has a destination and choices. Choosing to investigate another path can actually help the journey. This week, my foray off the path brought me the strength to keep going.

Daniel’s Prayer

Growing up Christian, I learned the same stories over and over. The Red Sea and the escape from Egypt, the Garden of Eden, Jesus walking on the water, and Daniel in the lions’ den were just a few. I heard the stories so much that I thought I knew all about it. What I missed was the adult version of the story.
